Imagination Station
Imagination is what makes an audio drama like Adventures in Odyssey work. As we listen to the show, we picture the characters in our heads and the world of Odyssey comes to life. The imagination is powerful. Maybe that's why John Avery Whittaker is so adamant about using our imagination in the right way so that we glorify God. In Album 5, Whit invents his most famous creation, the Imagination Station. The machine allows kids to travel back to the past and experience all kind of adventures, including those of biblical times.
The Imagination Station has been featured in over 80 episodes. It also appears in several of the original AIO novels, such as Strange Journey Back, The King's Quest, Dark Passage, and Freedom Run, as well as a number of episodes of the video series. More recently, the Imagination Station book series follows the cousins Patrick and Beth as they explore the past. The series has proved quite popular with younger readers and has sold over a million copies.
